Project Summary/Abstract:
The aim of this project is to achieve three main objectives: to benefit retention by enabling the identification of disengaged and at risk students; to identify the characteristics of successful students; and to support the continuous improvement of teaching at Taylor’s. The current trend to achieve these objectives is the use of Learning Analytics specifically in predictive analysis. The approach involves modelling and predicting student behaviour, creating student profiles, and analyzing trends. By examining both retention and success through learning analytics approaches will advance learning and teaching and provide a positive influence for assisting teachers to provide meaningful feedback to students.
